Quality Management
VDA Volume 6 Part 2 -
Requirements of the Verbands der Deutschen Automobilindustrie
for services inside the automotive industry.

A consistent benchmark to score the quality of services inside the automotive industry

Benefits of VDA 6.2:

The VDA QMC defined quality standards for the German
automotive industry and published them in the VDA 6.X-
volumes. Those documents provide the automotive industry,
its suppliers and other attached services, a consistent
and measurable scoring process for their quality systems.
The VDA 6.2 standard provides guidelines and requirements
especially for the service industries involved in automobiles.
Services are generally regarded as non-material, but they
are not applicable without involving material parts. The
economic success of an automotive service company is based
upon the service quality encompassing all services in
the entire life cycle of a vehicle.
These services include selling partners, service workshops,
engineering services and consultants, prototyping, transportation, etc.

Automotive organizations consider service quality more
                important than simple cost/performance ratios.
Consequently service providers need to consider all
quality-related aspects of their services from their
customers’ point of view. The training makes you familiar
with the application and interpretation of VDA 6.2 to your
business. Your system audits will highlight the strengths
and the weaknesses of your processes and permit identification of
                potential improvements.
